My roof has a 12/12 pitch so I am not climbing up there. I agree, last cold snap mine was frosted over about 10 inches high, warmed up and fell off. Just out of curiosity,why do you guys feel the need to unfreeze them? They also freeze over "here" although usually the smaller pipes. I have never had a broken rib,just bruised according to the doc. Is that to let a little gas out if your vent does freeze around the copper tube?īe careful whatever you do slipped off my roof 2 weeks ago and broke 2 ribs-them little buggers hurt!
